The organization / Kamina Social Welfare Society (KSWS) started its journey in the year 1979 and after 34 years now KSWS is reaching out to 25,000+ beneficiaries and running 13 interventions on these areas of need for the underprivileged / backward / deprived population of Howrah district. Vision: KSWS looks forward to a society where all people will enjoy equal rights and access to equal opportunities. Mission: Sustainable development of marginalized and vulnerable people to ensure a quality life through empowerment, education, information, infrastructure development, healthcare service and economic self-reliance through convergence of services provided by local self-governments.

Best Practices

KSWS is running an anti-alcohol movement since 2004, and it has made a significant impact over the lives of people from the Howrah region of West Bengal. The major achievement was stopping / closing these small illegal liquor shops, which is a very significant success of KSWS.
